The first car I owned I actually bought last August (2008) and it was a 2001 KIA Sephia. I used it to work on a political campaign and really enjoyed driving it. I did not know when I bought it that six months later I would be living in the foreign country is was probably made in. I sold the car when I moved here. Small world!

I Wanna Stop For a Drink in 'KIA-Ville'
I am passing along this story that I read from Brian in Jeollanam-do. CNN did a piece titled Town Hits Economic Jackpot to Become 'Kia-Ville' on July 9th. It is nice to see these people excited about a Korean based car company creating jobs in the United States. Now that GM and Chrysler are bankrupt and government owned, maybe KIA can capture a more respectable amount of the American automotive market.
